An iconic moment, worthy of an iconic event. On July 16, 2019, the same day of the launch of the Apollo 11 Mission with the Saturn V rocket, the Apollo 50th Celebration Gala took place at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. As the Silver Sponsor of the event, AstroReality was honored to contribute and participate in the gala, celebrating this historic accomplishment together with the world.
The Apollo 50th Gala celebrated the historic accomplishments of the past, but also examined how Planet Earth benefits from the world’s common interest in making giant leaps in technology and engineering.
The event had many famous Astronauts including Rusty Schweickart (Apollo 9), Michael Collins (Apollo 11), and Charlie Duke (Apollo 16). Multiple Awards were given to honor and recognize the great contribution of the pioneers to the community.
During the live auction, AstroReality was proud to unveil and auction off our Signature Edition Moon model - THE MOON, with the signature of Apollo astronaut Michael Collins and Charlie Duke. The winner of this moon piece will also have a customized Augmented Reality experience powered by AstroReality.

THE MOON was auctioned for $2,500, all of which would be going to help STEAM education and innovate the next generation of space explorers. AstroReality is also going to launch the LUNAR Max model, with only 50 pieces produced worldwide.

AstroReality was also thrilled to talk to Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, one of the most influential scientific education leaders involved in many educational science programs like Cosmos. We had a great time sharing the experience of holding the Moon in hands and exploring his favorite spots on the Moon.
